She’s gonna get my Groove on the ceiling
It’s about time we get some Black Keys on here isn’t it? It’s been way too long for me to not post one of their songs as the Groove of the Day. “Gold on the Ceiling” isn’t my one of my absolute favorites, but like all Black Keys, it’s ridiculously good, plus it’s their newest single. The Black Keys are great because they want to fly in the face of the “rock n roll” that’s being put out there by many bands today. I love me some good, poppy rock here and then but the Keys are a definite step in the right direction for the genre. The band has a jazzy feel that I especially appreciate. These guys love what they do and bring it every single time they record a song. There’s no better compliment I can levy than saying that I appreciate their existence because they create something that has resonance in my own life. I write to their music quite a bit and I don’t know what I would do without them at times.
